In 1997, a 27-year-old Army veteran named Jason Cox decided to build something in Janesville. He had the technical training, the discipline from military service, and a straightforward idea: treat every customer honestly, do quality work, and stand behind it. Nearly 30 years later, J.C. Heating and Cooling, Inc. has grown into one of Rock County's most trusted HVAC companies — with a team of nine, a downtown Janesville home base, and a reputation built almost entirely on word of mouth.

A Family Business, Built From the Ground Up
What started as Jason's one-man operation has become a true family business. Dawn Cox, co-owner and Operations Manager, keeps the company running with the same care and integrity Jason built it on. Their son McCauley has grown into the role of Service Supervisor, leading the field team on the jobs that matter most to customers. Their daughter Keeley manages the office, making sure every call is answered and every customer feels taken care of from the first point of contact to the final invoice.

In 2025, the Janesville community voted J.C. Heating and Cooling Best of the Best HVAC contractor — recognition awarded through our local newspaper and decided entirely by the people we serve.
